Quilt Tradition Lives On!

Dear Emerald Brigade Families;
We have had a wonderful tradition in the Emerald Brigade during the past several years of having a hand-made quilt to raffle off to raise funds for the EBSO general fund.  For the past 4 years the quilts were made by Mary Hammarin, whose twin sons graduated this past spring.

The Sanchez family (Xavier is a sophomore tenor sax player) has generously offered to carry on this tradition this year!  Jose and Elena Sanchez donated the materials, and their daughter Yari (a mother herself with two small children) donated her time and hand-made the beautiful quilt, which she has called "Emerald Twist."

 Please look for the quilt to be displayed, and raffle tickets sold, at the football games and other various events this fall/winter.  The winning raffle ticket will be drawn at the winter concert this December.

Thank you again to the Sanchez family for carrying on this tradition and for their generosity!
